We offer the program at two separate indoor locations:
No. For our Mini Outdoor program, every player is provided with an RDT team t-shirt included in the registration fee. Parents just need to provide comfortable athletic shorts, shin pads and socks, as well as proper footwear. For the best experience, we recommend breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics for the hot Winnipeg summer months.
Traditional large-scale soccer can lead to children standing around. Our 4v4 and 5/5 formats ensure that every child is constantly involved, gets more touches on the ball, and stays physically active throughout the entire game portion. It’s the fastest way to improve.
For the turf fields at the University of Manitoba or Axworthy RecPlex, players can wear clean soccer cleats, turf shoes, or runners. We strictly ask that players change into their sports shoes inside the facility to avoid tracking in winter salt, sand, or snow which can damage the turf.
No. RDT provides all the necessary equipment, including age-appropriate soccer balls (Size 4 for U5-U11), cones, and goals as well as agility equipment. Your child just needs to show up ready to play!
RDT utilizes a specialized “Master Coach” model to ensure high-quality development. Every session is led and overseen by our professional staff who are specifically trained in the RDT curriculum. To maintain a great player-to-coach ratio, we involve parent coaches to assist with logistics, such as coordinating substitutions, supporting goalkeepers, and managing the bench, as well as assisting the professional staff coaches. This allows the Master Coach to focus entirely on the technical training and player performance, ensuring a consistent, high-standard experience for every child.
We believe in celebrating the effort! At the end of the outdoor soccer season, we host a final day of play where players are recognized for their hard work and development.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early. This allows time for parking and for your child to change into their gear so they are ready the moment the “green light” is given for our turf time.
U of M offers free parking in the lot. U of W offers paid parking in the underground parkade as well as free street parking on weekends.
We do our best to accommodate one friend request per player during the registration process, provided they are in the same age division.
Since our curriculum is “module-based,” missing a week won’t leave your child behind. Each session stands alone in its technical focus, so they can jump right back in.
It is designed for both! We group players by age and skill level. Our coaches are trained to challenge experienced players while ensuring beginners build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
All RDT participants will receive exclusive discounts at the Red Card Soccer Store on all equipment, footwear, and apparel.
