Finding the Right Soccer Program

Choosing the best program for your child’s needs and goals is essential for their growth and enjoyment. Use this guide to determine where your child fits based on their age, skill level, and soccer ambitions.

RDT Soccer

Where to Start

We recommend that most players begin with our Mini Soccer Training, which runs during the winter (October–April) and summer (May–July). This program builds a strong foundation in soccer skills, teamwork, and confidence.

For those looking to supplement their league experience, our Futsal Program is an excellent option. It’s designed to enhance ball control, speed, and quick decision-making in a fun, indoor environment.

Which Program Is Best for Your Child?

Mini Soccer Training

Best for:

  • Children aged 4–11 who are new to soccer or still developing their basic skills.

Best for:

  • Motivated girls aged 7-12 who are ready for higher-level training.

  • 2–3 weekly sessions, 90 minutes each.
  • Initial Phase 1 includes 4 sessions to assess fit.

  • Sessions emphasize technical skill, agility, confidence on the ball, and decision-making in game-like scenarios.

Developmental League

Best for:

  • Motivated players aged 7–11 who are ready for more structured training and competitive game play.

  • Players who want to be part of a team environment with experienced coaching and scheduled matches

What to expect:

  • Two weekly sessions including technical training and weekend games.

  • Assessments are required for placement.

  • A step between Grassroot (Mini) and competitive club-level play, focused on long-term development.

Due to limited team numbers, this season is boys-only. However, girls are encouraged to register and try out or join our Girls Advanced Training Program.

Futsal Training

Best for:

  • Children aged 8–11 who are already part of RDT’s Mini or Advanced Training programs, or another organization’s training program, and want to refine their skills.
